My friend Alisa taught me how to make homemade foam soap a few months ago. It's natural, it's frugal, and very easy to make. Want to try?
You'll need:
empty foam soap dispensers
castile soap (available at natural foods stores)
water
almond oil or olive oil (optional)
Pour 1/4 cup castile soap into the bottle. Add 1 tsp almond oil, if desired, to add a moisturizing element. Fill to the top with water. Gently shake back and forth. That's it!
Tape the recipe to your bottle, if you like, so you won't have to take it out each time you make it. Make several at a time to be efficient!
My Mom gave me the following tip: if you have hard water, you'll want to get bottled water for this recipe, as the pump won't seize up as quickly.
Happy soap-making!
