Lovely Child, Lovely View

On Tuesday my friend Anna and I took the girls to an event at the local ski area, where we went on horse-drawn wagon rides and climbed to the top of the highest hill to enjoy the fall colors. I snapped this shot of Kardelen and found it so sweet. We are incredibly blessed to have Kardelen and Sofia.

P.S. Happy birthday today, Anna! Thank you for all you mean to me, and to the girls!

Fabulous. Definately a picture worth keeping and framing. You have beautiful kids. I'm glad you can capture these momments and enjoy them.

This photo reminded me of something, but I couldn't put my finger on it. I finally know what it was! When I was a little girl, my mom liked to read me a book that I think was simply called, "Birds." I know it was beautifully illustrated by Eloise Wilkin, and one of the pictures is of a little girl and her mother, looking out over a field of grass. This picture makes me think of that book!

Laura, thank you for sharing your special book memory! I was pleased to find it in our library system and just requested it! I love Eloise Wilkin and ended up requesting several of her books.
