Since then we keep finding more and more ripe chokecherries, so now I'm off to start batch number two. Only four pounds of cherries this time, though. These will probably become Christmas presents.
The girls love how it turns their homemade yogurt purple, and I love it on pancakes. Thanks, Kelley! :)

sounds wonderful!! i just got a cool deal of apples in boxes of 40-45 lbs for $5 each and flats of 48 ears for the same. I ordered a big boatload!! Mom and Dad are going to help me with it.
Lovely photos lovely post@!@!
Awesome!!! I've been finding out about how to make tea with wild plants! For example, pinnapple weed makes tea that tastes like chammomile!
Me--wow! I don't even know what pineapple weed looks like. Sounds like you're learning neat things!
We should have some of that tea together next time we see each other!
Mom always made chokecherry jelly although it was never my favorite. I liked the strawberry, sour cherry, and green apple best. Anyhow, I will be expecting to be able to try you syrup! Those girls are getting big!
toytrkman--she's shared some chokecherry jelly with us, too, though I've never tried the sour cherry or green apple. Those would be good!
We'll definitely share some syrup with you guys! Hope you're having fun with Mom and Dad.
glad it turned out! We actually haven't even made any yet, and not sure if we will get to :( It makes me very sad! I never got a hold of your friend.
