The girls went to their first tap dance class last week. All the little preschool girls dress up in ballerina outfits and are so much fun to watch as they tap in their tiny shoes! This brings back lots of memories, as my sister and I danced from the time we were three. I even have my old tap shoes, which I dug out of my parents' attic last weekend so the girls and I can tap together at home!
Jacob is deer hunting this year, for the first time since he was a kid. We're all excited and hope he'll get one, simply as a means of providing good meat for the year.
I'm teaching piano group lessons once a month and having a blast! Basically, I get to do fun review activities and games with kids who already take piano lessons from other teachers at a music studio. I love working for my boss, the kids are having lots of fun, and the once-a-month commitment is just right for our family right now. Teaching group lessons is a great way to get some continuing education hours for my teaching license.

I love that your girls are tap dancers. I've always loved watching tap, from the time my Grandpa played Shirley Temple movies for me as a little girl.

You children are so cute! I liked reading about you and your sister taking dance lessons. I had dance lessons when I was in elementary school. I took tap dance and ballet. Performed twice. One costume was red with silver sequins and the other was light blue with pink sequins. So much fun!
Wow, you talk about how long it has been between posts and I totally missed the last one. What fun ideas about the art exposure and I love that you have the girls in the performing arts! You are a great mom!!....don't compare, right??!! :)
