December 20. . .and others

I've been a bit unfaithful to my December Photo Project commitment. . .sorry about that. At least the important things are getting done around here (children fed & clothed, etc.). :)

Sister time

Yesterday the girls got mini-manis at the local cosmetology school (big thanks to Nana Marsha & Great-Grandpa Ken for the Christmas money for this gift!). The had a blast and it ended up costing only $5 for both girls!



After they got their nails "prettied up" with polish, sparkles, and designs, they ran around the room (as much as I would let them) showing off their nails and receiving countless "oohs" and "aahs" from the ladies there. They soaked up all the attention. :)


Tonight at dinner time, the girls kept asking, "Tell us a story from when you were little!" Jacob and I took turns relating stories of interesting or naughty things we (or our sisters) had done as children. :) It turned into a very sweet family time, all of us sitting around the table together eating (actually one of us not eating because her pizza had "holes in it") and talking about our family history. Though it was dark, the shades were still open, and the thought crossed my mind that if someone had looked in through a window, they would see us all sitting and laughing together. It was beautiful.
