My daughter is a flower girl in a wedding and opposed to paying up to $7 for ruffley socks I was able to sew matching organza ribbon onto a regular pair of dress socks for $1! I sewed it by hand by stretching out and sewing an inch of sock and ribbon at a time and making very small stitches. Only took about 15 minutes to do the pair. I appreciate your sweet comments, too.<br /><br />Basically, steps 6 and 7 concern what to do when you&#39;ve gone all the way around the sock and have reached the point where you started. You can do anything you want to finish it off--my tutorial is really just a suggestion, and if you have some sewing experience and want to come up with your own way, that&#39;s great! <br /><br />To summarize what I do, I really just overlap the ribbon on itself and then sew together the pieces so the edges won&#39;t fray.<br /><br />Feel free to ask if you have any more questions! Are you sewing just at the edge of the ribbon when you sew it to the sock? If it keeps happening, I&#39;d just simply NOT turn the socks inside-out before you sew on the ribbon.
